How can I charter a sailboat?
You can use this reservation system to make a reservation and charter a sailboat for the dates of your choice. If you have special requirements regarding the dates or you need more information, you can email us on info@firstsailing.eu

Can I rent a sailboat from Saturday to Saturday only or can I chose other days and dates as well?
Yes - please contact us about terms and conditions.

Can I rent a sailboat for less than seven days?
Yes, such option is available upon agreement - please contact us if you are interested in this type of short-term rental.

Can I rent a sailboat for a one-way cruise?
We can organise one-way cruises, especially during the off-the-season. You can rent one or more sailboats - in such case, prices are negotiated individually.

How do I pay for the sailboat rental?
50% of the price is paid upon reservation of the sailboat, remaining 50% can be paid up to four weeks before the cruise. In some cases, payment terms can be negotiated individually.

What is not included in the price for the sailboat rental?
Sailboat charter includes the fee for using the boat and its full equipment (See 'Our boats' for more information) for the agreed dates, a dinghy, logbook and navigation maps. The price usually does not include:

Do I need sailing qualifications to charter a sailboat in Croatia? If so, which kind?
Yes. You need to have an internationally recognised qualifications. More information for skipper courses can be found here. For recreational cruises on our sailboats, you will need a Day skipper-level.

Can I hire a skipper?
Yes. If you need any assistance in this regard, we can provide you with an experienced skipper. His services cost app. 120EUR per day. You are obliged to provide board and accommodation for a skipper throughout the duration of the cruise

Can I use credit or debit cards in Croatia?
It is sometimes possible to use euros when paying for services in a harbour; however, one should always carry some kunas too. Price list for harbour fees is available for example here: http://www.aci-club.hr/. Debit cards can be used in marinas, restaurants, shops and supermarkets although this is not always the case. The coastline and the islands have a good network of cash machines.

Are bed linen and towels included in the sailboat rental?
Ben linen is provided for each crew member; each person will also be provided with a small and a big towel. Additional bed linen can be provided for a fee. It is recommended crew members bring their own towels for sun-bathing and swimming.

What equipment is available in the kitchen?
All our sailboats have fully-equipped kitchens (gas ring, oven, refrigerator, basic tableware and cutlery). Mircowave owen is available on First 45 and Oceanis 58.

Is it safe to take children on board?
There is no problem with having children on board. However, constant adult supervision and observation of all safety regulations is mandatory. It is important to install a safety net on a handrail all around the deck perimeter. A safety net could be provided for a surcharge and must be requested in advance. Life-vest for children should be used, especially in bad weather conditions
